Seth has adapted fairly well to eating Chinese food. His favorite so far is mapo doufu, a spicy soft tofu dish. He also likes plain white rice and Chinese bread. Most Chinese vegetables are only slightly stir-fried, so they tend not to be mushy enough for him to eat. He will have to get a few more teeth before he can try things like baicai (Chinese cabbage), suanmiao (garlic shoots), and lian'ou (lotus root). But for now he is happy eating mostly a combination of Heinz baby food (it's much cheaper than Gerber in China), American foods like Cheerios and pretzels, and Mommy's milk.
