We stayed with my sister Leisa and her family a couple of days last week. On Tuesday we went to the Lego store for the monthly mini build. The first fifty or so kids in line get to turn a handful of Legos into something that represents the month of the year. August's mini build was a beach chair with an umbrella. It was Seth's first attempt at putting together regular-sized Legos (rather than Duplo Legos), and while he needed Daddy's help, it seems that he will be able to transition to regular Legos soon. We actually almost bought him a set--they are cheaper in the States than in China, if you can believe it--but we realized that we really need to take stock of what we've already bought this summer and wait until after Seth's birthday party to see if we can fit anthing more into our suitcases! In the picture below you can see Seth's cousins Max and Ethan on the right.
The rest of the time at the Borror house we mostly just relaxed. ("Relaxation" seems to be our word this summer.) Seth had a great time playing with his cousins, and now whenever we get in the car he asks, "Are we going to Colt's house?" And they don't even have a swimming pool!
